Pottery Time

It is has been such a blessing being a mentor to a young lady Brittney. She has taught me a lot about how to deal with kids, how to be a mentor and a good role model. I definitely catch myself getting short with her, getting a little annoyed with her and I have to remember the example I am suppose to be for her. Changes things a bit. It has been a great opportunity to show her Christian love and to be honest, it can really test me sometimes. I feel like it's a good test of my faith and something I will need in my back pocket for raising kids one day.

STEP is every Monday night and if they are faithful in coming and learning and memorizing their memory verse that week, they are rewarded with something called faithfulness award. They look forward to faithfulness and start planning what we are going to do the next time as soon as they can. We thought painting pottery would be fun for them and something they may not get the chance to do. I LOVE stuff like that, so I was very excited about faithfulness!! I live closest to the girls, so I picked up Shipley's and took them to paint. Here are the results......(disclaimer, it was early, cold and rainy)
